Vervool in Futuro: muziek en desserts

Je zou dit tijdperk wel een kruispunt kunnen noemen. We hebben jaren van pandemie en onzekerheid achter de rug. We willen allemaal een betere wereld voor onszelf en onze medemens. Maar welke kant moeten we op? Utopia of dystopia? Groen of grijs? Gaan we naar Mars of zorgen we voor onze eigen aarde?

"Vervool in Futuro" nodigt jullie uit om samen in de toekomst te kijken. Als een lege pagina die je zelf kunt beschrijven. Onze show is een leidraad om te laten zien wat er te dromen valt, maar de toekomst is er eentje die je zelf kunt scheppen. Het is aan jou: Futuro is Yours!

Zondag 12 Mei in Leiden zijn zangeres Vivienne Aerts en professioneel toetjes maker Ted Steinebach weer terug uit New York met een geheel vernieuwde show: een avond vol muziek en desserts, 10 toetjes & 10 liedjes in een perfecte balans. Maanden zijn ze al bezig ... vanuit hun studio in Brooklyn, New York, en begint het allemaal vorm te krijgen: Vervool in Futuro. En nu, na uren componeren en arrangeren, dagen recepten bedenken, testen en uitschrijven, kunnen zij haast niet wachten tot ze weer in Nederland zijn... want deze lente wordt weer onvoorstelbaar. Een nog mooiere editie in het prachtige Scheltema Leiden op de hoek van de Marktsteeg en de Oude Singel, met nieuwe gerechtjes, spannende smaken en mooie muziek.

Vivienne Aerts woont in New York waar zij werkzaam is als zangeres, dirigent en componist met focus op electronica en ‘multi-sensory experience design’. Haar laatste album 'Typuhthâng' features 100 vrouwelijke muzikanten van over de hele wereld en in samenwerking met Original Beans Chocolade. Tevens is zij professor aan Berklee College of Music in Boston waar zij een belangrijke rol speelt bij het klaarstomen van de volgende generatie artiesten die niet alleen bekwaam zijn, maar ook mentaal en fysiek gezond.

Ted Steinebach werkte als patissier o.a. in Amsterdam bij The Harbour Club en in New York bij Eleven Madison Park***. Tevens ontwikkelde hij meerdere desserts in een moderne keukenstijl. In Nederland staat hij ook bekend om zijn exclusieve merk gevulde chocolaatjes ‘bonbons’ onder de naam ChocoTed. Samen met Vivienne is zijn meest recente project genaamd ‘Vervool’: een interdisciplinaire show met experimentele muziek en eetbare abstracte kunst. Momenteel werkt Ted aan een kookboek over desserts en vuur.

"Vervool in Futuro" invites you to look into the future together. Like an empty page where you can describe yourself. Our show is a guideline to show what can be dreamed of, but the future is one that you can create yourself. It's up to you: Futuro is Yours!

On Sunday, May 12 in Leiden, singer Vivienne Aerts and professional dessert maker Ted Steinebach are back from New York with a completely new show: an evening full of music and desserts, 10 desserts & 10 songs in a perfect balance. They've been working on it for months... from their studio in Brooklyn, New York, it's all starting to take shape: Vervool in Futuro. And now, after hours of composing and arranging, days of thinking up, testing and writing out recipes, they can hardly wait until they get back to the Netherlands... because this spring will be unimaginable again. An even more beautiful edition in the beautiful Scheltema Leiden on the corner of the Marktsteeg and the Oude Singel, with new dishes, exciting flavors and beautiful music.

Vivienne Aerts lives in New York where she works as a singer, conductor and composer with a focus on electronics and multi-sensory experience design. Her latest album 'Typuhthâng' features 100 female musicians from all over the world and in collaboration with Original Beans Chocolate. She is also a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she plays an important role in preparing the next generation of artists who are not only skilled, but also mentally and physically healthy.

Ted Steinebach worked as a pastry chef in Amsterdam at The Harbor Club and in New York at Eleven Madison Park***. He also developed several desserts in a modern kitchen style. In the Netherlands he is also known for his exclusive brand of filled chocolates 'bonbons' under the name ChocoTed. Together with Vivienne, his most recent project is called 'Vervool': an interdisciplinary show with experimental music and edible abstract art. Ted is currently working on a cookbook about desserts and fire.
